A Truly Heard Listening Session is a confidential, one-to-one conversation designed to help you reflect, process life's challenges, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Your Guide provides thoughtful listening, meaningful questions, and space for reflection—not advice, judgment, or predetermined solutions. Every session follows the H.E.A.R.D. Process, creating a structured yet flexible experience centered on you.
Many people carry challenges without having a place to speak openly. Friends and family often care deeply but naturally bring their own perspectives, advice, or emotions into the conversation.
A Truly Heard Listening Session offers something different—a confidential, judgment-free space where the focus is simply on understanding you. Many people discover that being genuinely heard helps them gain clarity, recognize what matters most, and move forward with greater confidence.
No.
Truly Heard is not therapy, counseling, coaching, crisis intervention, or a substitute for professional medical, legal, or financial services.
Listening Sessions are designed to provide reflective, supportive conversations that help people think more clearly and process life's experiences. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, mental health crisis, or require professional treatment, we encourage you to contact the appropriate licensed professionals or emergency services.
You'll meet one-to-one with a trained Truly Heard Guide.
Our Guides are skilled listeners who create a respectful, confidential environment where you can speak openly without judgment. Rather than telling you what to do, they listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and help you explore your own thoughts with greater clarity.
Most conversations — even with people who love us — include interruption, advice, or judgment. Truly Heard offers a rare experience: one hour devoted entirely to you, with someone trained to actively listen deeply, without needing anything in return. It is not casual conversation. It is an intentional, restorative space.
Trained human listeners with experience in reflective listening and facilitation. Sessions are private and confidential.
Yes.
The Truly Heard approach draws upon established principles from reflective listening, qualitative interviewing, narrative inquiry, communication research, and neuroscience related to human connection and understanding.
While Listening Sessions are not therapy or clinical treatment, they are intentionally designed using well-established approaches that encourage thoughtful reflection, meaningful conversation, and personal insight.
Listening Sessions are available to adults seeking a confidential place to reflect, process life's challenges, or simply think through important decisions.
People come to Truly Heard for many different reasons—from navigating life transitions and caregiving to leadership responsibilities, relationships, personal growth, or simply wanting a space to be genuinely heard.
Most Listening Sessions last approximately 60 minutes.
This provides enough time to settle into the conversation, explore what matters most, and conclude with greater clarity and confidence.
Zoom allows Truly Heard to serve people wherever they are while providing a private, face-to-face conversation. Many people find it easier to reflect and speak openly from the comfort of their own home or another familiar environment. A secure Zoom connection also eliminates travel time while preserving the personal connection that comes from seeing and hearing one another. You are welcome to join with or without video — whichever feels most comfortable. Listening Sessions are effective and supportive through audio-only as well.
Confidentiality is a foundational part of every Listening Session.
Your conversation remains private except in the limited circumstances described in our policies, such as situations involving an immediate risk of serious harm or where disclosure is otherwise required by law. Our goal is to create a space where you can speak openly with confidence.
No.
Your personal information is handled with care and is never sold or shared for marketing purposes.
If an organization sponsors your Listening Session, the content of your individual conversation remains confidential. Organizations do not receive reports about what you discussed. Any information shared with an organization, when applicable, is anonymous and aggregated so that no individual participant can be identified.
That's perfectly okay.
Many people begin a Listening Session with only a general feeling that something feels heavy, confusing, or unresolved. You don't need a prepared agenda or the right words before you begin.
Your Guide will meet you where you are and help create space for reflection. Often, clarity emerges through the conversation itself.

Whether an organization is experiencing leadership changes, restructuring, mergers, workforce challenges, caregiver initiatives, or periods of increased demand, providing employees with a place to gain greater clarity can strengthen communication, build trust, and help people move forward with confidence.
Confidentiality is fundamental to the Truly Heard™ Listening Service. Individual Listening Sessions remain private and are never shared with employers, managers, Human Resources, or other organizational leaders.
When organizations choose to receive a Truly Heard™ Organizational Insights Report, the report contains only anonymous, aggregated themes and patterns observed across multiple Listening Sessions. No names, identifying details, or individual conversations are included.
This approach protects individual privacy while providing organizations with meaningful insights that can strengthen communication, support employee wellbeing, and foster healthier workplace cultures.
The Truly Heard™ Organizational Insights Report is developed from anonymous, aggregated observations gathered across multiple Listening Sessions. Rather than focusing on individual experiences, the report identifies recurring themes, emerging patterns, and opportunities that may help leaders better understand the employee experience.
Reports are designed to support thoughtful decision-making by highlighting trends related to communication, workplace culture, employee wellbeing, organizational change, and other relevant topics. Because the report contains only aggregated insights, the confidentiality of every individual Listening Session is fully protected.
Each Truly Heard™ Organizational Insights Report is tailored to the organization's engagement and highlights anonymous, aggregated themes observed across Listening Sessions. Reports may identify recurring strengths, common concerns, communication patterns, opportunities for growth, and emerging issues that could benefit from additional attention.
Reports do not include names, personal identifiers, or summaries of individual conversations. The focus is on organizational patterns rather than individual experiences, providing leaders with meaningful insights while protecting the confidentiality of every participant.
